Mid-Level Service Designer

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: April 30, 2026 with potential to extend
Work set-up: Hybrid, with attendance at the London office three days per week

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Service Designer with strong UX capability (ideally a 50/50 split) to support one of several workstreams within a newly formed delivery pod. You’ll work alongside Senior Service Designers, UX Designers, and BAs to help bring services and product experiences to life. The work may span governance, work arrangement standards, data management, or AI-related initiatives, with final project allocations still being confirmed. Because of this, you’ll need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving fluidly between discovery, design, and delivery-support activities.

We are hiring for multiple roles and have a strong preference for candidates who have previously worked together as part of the same squad or pod. While individual applications are absolutely welcome, we’re especially interested in pairs or small teams who have delivered cohesive service or product missions together. This role suits someone who brings a service design toolkit with a product-oriented mindset, someone who can zoom out to understand the user and service ecosystem, but also zoom in to shape flows, artifacts, and user journeys that translate into something that gets built and used in the real world.

What you will do

• Support service design activities within your assigned workstream.
• Co-create journey maps, service models, and discovery artefacts.
• Work closely with Senior Service Designers to translate service insights into UX flows or interaction direction.
• Help facilitate research, synthesis, and co-design activities.
• Produce clear, structured documentation that supports product and engineering delivery.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary pod, ideally alongside designers or BAs you have worked with previously.
• Adapt quickly as project scopes evolve and new streams take shape.

• Solid experience in service design and UX design (ideally a 50/50 split).
• Ability to connect service-level insights to product-level decision making.
• Experience supporting discovery and mapping complex systems or workflows.
• Familiarity with governance, data, or AI-adjacent design challenges (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable working at both conceptual and detailed levels.
• Strong preference for candidates who have previously delivered as part of a familiar team or pod.
