Your role at Hostinger
We're looking for a Backend Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and APIs that power our applications. You will collaborate closely with the front-end team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange and a smooth user experience. Proficiency in PHP and API development is crucial for success in this role.

Your day-to-day
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using PHP.
Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to define API requirements.
Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and security.
Implement data storage solutions and database management.
Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
Ensure proper documentation of APIs for internal and external use.
Monitor and troubleshoot backend services to identify and resolve issues.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in backend development.
Deliver high-quality code solutions and make decisions on product architecture.
Write clear, scalable, and tested code that creates actual business value.
Share feedback with your peers.
Your skills and experience
Extensive PHP experience (bonus points for Laravel).
Understanding of OOP principles & proper code design.
Unit testing and end-to-end testing.
Knowledge of REST API, SQL, and any ORM.
Basic experience in Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), Web pack/NPM/Gulp.
The Git versioning system is not new to you as you did tracking changes there numerous times.
You know message queueing technologies, like RabbitMQ, PubSub, and Kafka.
You know application containerization technologies, like Docker.
You are a self-starter who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

Compensation
Gross salary from 4000 to 5600 EUR/month. Specific compensation is offered based on work experience, competence, and compliance with other job requirements.
