Mid Level Mobile React Native Developer

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a Senior React Native Engineer with strong native iOS experience to help build the next generation of Meltwater’s mobile products. This is a hands-on role for a self-driven engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and takes full ownership of delivering high-quality, scalable mobile experiences. You’ll work across React Native and native iOS/Android codebases, partnering closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver intuitive and performant applications used by customers globally. You’ll also play a key role in modernizing our mobile stack, helping transition legacy iOS systems to a more unified React Native architecture.
What You'll Do:
- Lead development of new features and enhancements using React Native, integrating with native iOS (Swift) components
- Own end-to-end delivery of mobile features—from requirements and technical design through testing and deployment
- Collaborate with backend and web teams to design APIs, data flows, and scalable architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, VIPER)
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Fastlane) to ensure build reliability and efficient releases
- Drive code quality, performance optimization, and best practices across the mobile codebase
- Partner with Product and Design to refine requirements, improve usability, and ensure seamless execution
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy iOS code into a shared React Native architecture
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Help define and evolve mobile architecture, tooling, and engineering standards
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of professional mobile development experience, including:
- 1+ year with React Native
- 1+ year with native iOS development (Swift)
- Strong understanding of React Native architecture, workflows, and native module integration
- Experience with modern iOS architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture)
- Solid knowledge of Swift, UIKit, and/or SwiftUI
- Experience with mobile CI/CD tools (e.g., Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and real-time data flows
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs (e.g., Auth0, Firebase, social login providers)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional, distributed teams
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to independently drive improvements
Nice to Have:
- Experience building React Native apps without Expo (custom native integrations)
- Familiarity with Server-Sent Events (SSE) or streaming architectures
- Experience with deeplinking, push notifications, and multi-account session handling
- Knowledge of cross-platform navigation and state management tools (e.g., React Navigation, Redux, Zustand)
- Exposure to Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns or modern backend integrations
- Experience with performance profiling, memory management, and optimization on iOS and React Native
