We’re thrilled to introduce a new opportunity in our Munich office:
Microgrid Systems & Energy Management Engineer.Curious what this role is all about? Let’s dive in:
- Lead the concept development and architecture design of advanced microgrid systems (PV/Wind, EV charging, energy booster stations).
- Define and implement control strategies, communication networks, and EMS platforms for integrated energy systems.
- Provide technical leadership across projects, ensuring innovation, scalability, and compliance with international standards.
- Monitor global trends and contribute to the strategic direction of microgrid technologies.
- Mentor and coach engineers in energy storage, power electronics, and system control.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence key design decisions and define the technical roadmap.
- Drive R&D initiatives in system integration and intelligent control.
- Ensure alignment with IEC/GB standards and utilize tools like PSCAD or MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and modeling.
Your profile
That sounded exciting, right? Now, to make sure you thrive in this role, we’d love for you to bring the following background:
- Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in microgrid design, energy system integration, or power system R&D.
- Proven expertise in on/off-grid control, multi-energy coupling, black start, and EMS integration.
- Strong knowledge of IEC/GB standards and simulation tools such as PSCAD or MATLAB/Simulink.
- English C1; Arabic or Chinese are a plus.
- Experience with international or Middle East projects is highly valued.
- Strategic thinker with a product- and innovation-oriented mindset.
