Responsibilities:
  • 1. Evaluate, build and test cylinders, pumps and motors.
  • 2. Evaluate warranty hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors.
  • 3. Attend advanced training within hydraulic field.
  • 4. Reverse engineer hydraulic components.
  • 5. Create and document testing procedures.
  • 7. Provide hydraulic field service to off-site customers on an as needed basis.
  • 8. Design test fixtures and test set ups.
  • 9. Maintain and ensures acceptable cleanliness levels within hydraulic test area and
  • hydraulic work station.
  • 10. Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout
  • department.
  • 11. Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate
  • development.
  • 12. Must be able to correctly size, design and select proper seals and sealing
  • material.
  • 13. Able to read precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
  • 14. Own every basic hand tool and many specialty tools to service hydraulic
  • equipment at an advanced level.
  • 15. Must be able to identify component serviceability and level with a high degree of
  • accuracy.
  • 16. Able to trouble shoot hydraulic systems and assist customers by phone or email.
  • 17. Other duties as assigned
  • General Education and Experience:
  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
  • Mechanical Aptitude - Ability to use a variety of hand tools to operate a fork lift and crane. Beginner level ability to qualify hydraulic components. Basic ability to use spare parts prints to identify components. Basic ability to use schematics to identify components work within hydraulic system.
  • Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Physical Dexterity - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Position stands 95 to 100% of the workday.
