Job Role: Media Buyer (Meta)
Compensation range: $1,200 AUD - $1,800 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly 15-20 hours per week. As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Role Overview: The Meta Media Buyer is responsible for managing, optimising, and scaling Meta advertising campaigns (Facebook and Instagram) across multiple client accounts. This role works closely with content, strategy, and design teams to ensure campaigns deliver measurable ROI whilst maintaining compliance with Meta platform requirements and healthcare advertising regulations.
The position requires a data-driven, proactive approach to campaign management with strong emphasis on testing creative, analysing performance metrics, and delivering measurable growth for clients in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Management & Optimisation
- Plan, launch, and optimise Meta ad campaigns across multiple client accounts (Facebook and Instagram)
- Manage daily budgets, bidding strategies, and performance tracking across all active campaigns
- Conduct systematic testing of creative assets, audience targeting, and campaign variables to improve performance
- Ensure all campaigns adhere to Meta platform policies and healthcare advertising compliance requirements
- Implement audience targeting strategies, funnel optimisation, and conversion tracking to maximise campaign effectiveness
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse campaign data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain real-time reporting dashboards to track campaign performance and client results
- Provide weekly updates to management and relevant teams on key performance metrics (KPIs), campaign outcomes, and strategic recommendations
- Monitor and report on ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), CPA (Cost Per Acquisition), CPL (Cost Per Lead), and other relevant performance metrics
- Deliver accurate, timely reporting that supports strategic decision-making and client communication
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to brief new ad concepts, copy requirements, and creative asset specifications
- Provide performance feedback to creative team to inform ongoing content development and optimisation
- Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding campaign performance, challenges, and opportunities
- Contribute to integrated marketing strategies by sharing insights from Meta campaign performance
Systems & Process Management
- Establish and maintain streamlined systems for campaign organisation, record keeping, and asset management
- Ensure all accounts are efficiently documented and easily auditable with clear naming conventions and filing structures
- Maintain comprehensive campaign documentation including strategies, results, and learnings
- Implement systems and processes that improve campaign efficiency and enable scalability
3.5 Platform Knowledge & Compliance
- Monitor Meta platform trends, algorithm updates, and feature releases
- Keep management informed of platform changes or opportunities that may impact campaign performance
- Maintain current knowledge of Meta advertising best practices and healthcare advertising regulations
- Ensure all campaigns meet platform compliance requirements and client-specific restrictions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing Meta Ads campaigns
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Proven track record of delivering measurable ROI improvements and cost efficiencies
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Experience developing creative strategy and briefing design teams for ad creatives
- Experience with healthcare or wellness sector advertising is desirable
- Expert proficiency in Meta Ads Manager and Business Manager
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to extract actionable insights
- Excellent understanding of audience targeting, funnel optimisation, and conversion tracking
- Experience building and maintaining reporting dashboards for campaign performance
- Knowledge of Meta platform policies and healthcare advertising compliance requirements
- Proficiency with key performance metrics including ROAS, CPA, CPL, CTR, and conversions
- Data-driven decision making with a focus on performance insights and optimisation
- Proactive problem-solving and ability to implement improvements independently
- Exceptional attention to detail in campaign setup, tracking, and reporting
- Highly organised with strong systems and process management
- Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently in a remote team
- Ability to meet performance targets and KPIs, including ROAS, CPA, CPL, and cost efficiencies
- Strict adherence to NDAs, Non-Compete Agreement, and client confidentiality
- Professional representation of the agency in all communications
- Willingness to maintain organised systems, documentation, and proactive reporting
- Remote position with daily collaboration via Kumospace platform
- Part-time role with potential to increase hours based on client growth and performance
