Position Summary

The Local Member Engagement Manager serves as the primary point of contact for member organizations, outward sales to achieve membership goals, and ensures each has access to the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to succeed. This role builds relationships with grassroots trail and mountain biking non-profits to instill the value of IMBA’s resources, provides guidance on best practices, and manages the pipeline of prospective and current member organizations. The ideal candidate is service and sales-oriented, organized, and skilled at helping non-profit leaders navigate challenges and opportunities. The right candidate will seek to onboard 50-80 organizations in the first year through effective internal partnerships, communications, and engagement. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a robust sales strategy to reach non-profit orgs
  • Serve as the first point of contact for member organizations, providing guidance and support across program resources and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with member organizations, ensuring consistent communication and responsiveness.
  • Manage the member engagement pipeline, including onboarding, renewals, and inquiries from prospective organizations.
  • Track member needs, interests, and progress to inform program development and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to connect members with subject matter experts, training opportunities, and funding resources.
  • Maintain accurate member records within CRM or database systems a must


Support outreach and engagement campaigns to expand membership and strengthen participation.

Requirements

  • BA degree in sales, marketing communications, non-profit management or similar background.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, nonprofit program coordination, membership management, or partner relations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills.
  • Experience managing relationships with multiple organizations or clients simultaneously.
  • Ability to organize complex information, manage deadlines, and work independently.
  • Required: Familiarity with CRM systems, databases, or other membership management tools.
  • Understanding of nonprofit management, volunteer engagement, or community-based organizations preferred.

Passion for trails, outdoor access, or community development is a plus.

Annual salary range for this role is $60,000-$65,000 based on directly relevant experience.
