The Oncology Europe MSL role is an exciting opportunity to work at a well-established pharmaceutical company that is poised to have a potential 1st-in-class oncology product together with a platform extending across multiple therapeutic areas. The initial oncology MSL team will comprise of highly experienced and motivated MSLs that will be focused on thought leader engagement, insight gathering, and scientific education. Territories will be finalized based on location and experience of hired candidates.

The Europe MSL will represent Corcept to the highest ethical and professional standards and in accordance with guidelines, directions, and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in clinically meaningful scientific discussions with thought leaders in gynecological oncology and other malignancies to enhance understanding of Corcept, the role of cortisol modulation in oncology, and relacorilant
  • Proactively communicate and educate healthcare professionals on disease states where cortisol modulation may play a role. Provide responsive support for appropriate requests and engage in scientific exchange on Corcept’s non-clinical and clinical trial data, as well as the clinical development plan
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with thought leaders, patient advocacy organisations, and oncology associations (e.g., ESMO, ESGO, and other regional bodies) within the oncology community
  • Capture, analyse, and communicate insights and intelligence from the medical and scientific community in a compliant manner to inform Corcept’s decision-making. Ensure communications clearly and effectively frame insights for practical use
  • Support company-sponsored clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies (IIS), scientific communications, publications, clinical and scientific education, advisory boards, and congresses
  • Maintain the highest standards of scientific, clinical, and technical expertise in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration within Medical Affairs and cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Market Access, Marketing, Commercial, and other functions. Exchange ideas and knowledge compliantly across oncology teams

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong scientific oncology acumen, including therapeutic landscapes, ESMO guidelines, clinical trial data, and familiarity with European oncology networks and cooperative groups
  • Core competencies: intellectual curiosity, adaptability, teamwork and collaboration, communication, achieving results, decision-making, and clinical/scientific expertise
  • Strong business acumen with working knowledge of multidisciplinary functions involved in drug development (research, development, clinical operations, biostatistics, regulatory, commercial, etc.)
  • Excellent project management skills: ability to prioritise multiple tasks and goals, ensuring timely, accurate, and budget-conscious delivery
  • Ability to identify resources and collaborate with the Medical Affairs team to ensure resource availability
  • Demonstrates adaptability in priorities, goals, and territory management
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Provides feedback to Medical Affairs leadership to foster continuous improvement and excellence
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; able to create and edit content independently with attention to detail
  • Experience with Veeva CRM (or similar), Veeva Vault, and platforms such as SharePoint or BOX preferred
  • Must maintain a driving record in accordance with Corcept’s vehicle policy

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD or advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, MSN, PA, NP) required
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience as an MSL, with at least 3+ years in oncology
  • Individuals may qualify for MSL or Senior MSL based on demonstrated experience
  • Travel will be required approximately 50–60% of the time, including across European territories and to headquarters in Redwood Shores, USA, for essential meetings
