Duties

  • Performs Interventional Radiology procedures in the IR Department using advanced digital equipment, and digital quality assurance
  • Communicates with team members and management personnel, participates in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring
  • Performs cross-functional/site responsibilities as assigned, including working call or overtime, and evening, weekend
  • Perform strong inter-professional and collaborative approach to practice.
  • Showcase judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
  • Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting, especially how to accommodate unexpected situations
  • Certification and Current membership with the CAMRT
  • Current registration with the CMRITO and fulfilling the annual required continuing education as per CMRITO
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification
  • 2 to 3 years General Radiography experience
  • Live within 30 minutes of hospital to respond to Code Stroke
  • Ability to work variable shifts and take on-call assignments
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation.
  • Demonstrates strong inter-professional and collaborative approach to practice.
  • Demonstrates good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
  • Ability to work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting, especially how to accommodate unexpected situations.
  • Demonstrates strong technical skills and image quality
  • Effective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities
  • Effective computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills including through formal clinical documentation
  • Awareness of hospital emergency codes and procedures, required
  • Previous CT experience, an asset
  • Currently enrolled in or completion of the CAMRT Interventional Radiology Specialty certificate program, an asset
