- Build, lead and manage the medical editorial function responsible for clinical data models, structured medical content and product-relevant clinical knowledge
- Own the medical accuracy, consistency and evidence base of clinical data models (e.g., classifications, decision logic, pathways, templates, terminology mappings)
- Translate clinical guidelines and expert knowledge into structured, computable formats (e.g., ontologies, taxonomies, FHIR profiles, decision rules)
- Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, UX, Data Science and Marketing to ensure clinical relevance and usability of product features
- Establish and maintain editorial governance, including review processes, versioning and quality standards for medical content
- Manage collaborations with external clinical experts, authors and advisors; build and maintain a strong clinical network (e.g., Neurosurgery and related fields)
- Serve as medical owner for user-facing clinical content, ensuring clarity, correctness and alignment with clinical workflows
- Bridge the gap between clinical expertise and product strategy to drive impactful knowledge-based features
- Ensure compliance with data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR) when working with clinical partners
- Support product innovation by defining clinical requirements and validating new concepts through expert input and structured medical content
- Represent the medical perspective in internal and external communications related to clinical content and workflows
- Medical degree; board certification in a relevant specialty is a plus (e.g., Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Oncology, Radiology)
- Several years of experience in medical editorial work, clinical knowledge engineering, digital health product development or similar roles
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, evidence appraisal, guideline interpretation and medical terminology systems (ICD, SNOMED CT, LOINC, etc.)
- Experience creating or managing structured clinical content (data models, decision logic, pathways, classifications)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to translate complex clinical topics into clear, usable product content
- Experience with digital health standards (e.g., FHIR)
- Very good English and German skills
