Medical Director

AI overview

Serve as a key clinical liaison for partner providers to build relationships, resolve concerns, and drive the adoption of clinical programs.

Re‑architecting U.S. healthcare demands speed, precision, and an obsession with details. Cadence is building a remote care delivery system that keeps older people healthy, out of the hospital, and at home. By pairing each patient with a dedicated clinical team that reviews their health every day, versus every few months, we catch issues early and intervene before they escalate. The result: measurably better outcomes for patients and less administrative burden for clinicians.

Today, Cadence supports tens of thousands of  active patients nationwide. Our AI‑powered system and scalable clinical model enable proactive, population‑level care. We’re among the fastest‑growing companies in healthtech, and we’re just getting started.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director (MD or DO preferred) to serve as a key clinical liaison for our partner providers. This field-first role is critical to building long-term relationships, resolving provider concerns, and driving adoption of Cadence’s clinical programs. You'll work alongside our Provider Relations Managers (PRMs) to represent the clinical voice of Cadence in the field, ensuring our model meets the needs of providers and their patients while identifying opportunities to enhance care delivery.

Success in this role depends on strong communication, a deep understanding of clinical workflows, and the ability to influence change in fast-moving environments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Act as the lead clinical liaison for partner providers, representing Cadence across multiple regions
  • Partner with PRMs on clinic visits, field travel, and ongoing relationship management
  • Explain and advocate for the clinical value of our care models; address provider questions on services, data, and protocols
  • Support onboarding and training for new clinics, ensuring clinical confidence and alignment
  • Resolve provider complaints with empathy and follow-through
  • Surface field insights to internal teams (clinical, product, engineering) to guide service improvements
  • Stay current on RPM, CCM, APCM, and regulatory standards to ensure compliant, high-quality care

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Advanced clinical degree (MD, DO, or NP); MD/DO preferred; active license strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, or a related field
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills with clinical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting provider-facing programs within health systems, tech platforms, or care coordination models
  • Familiarity with RPM, CCM, APCM, or similar digital health frameworks, including Medicare billing
  • Proficiency in clinical informatics: interpreting and communicating data to guide care and influence internal strategy
  • Comfortable with frequent field travel (2–3 days/week); must live near a major airport
