We believe the era of the pure media buyer — someone who simply loads ads into accounts, sets up campaign structures and scales budgets — is over. Creative has become the most important lever in paid acquisition, outweighing account structure and bid strategy in driving performance.
We need someone who can bridge the gap between media buying and creative strategy, working in lockstep with our content and creative team to continuously improve ad performance through better creative, not just better targeting. As we look to expand beyond Meta into new platforms, we also need someone with the attribution and measurement expertise to confidently test and scale new channels without guesswork.
The Role
- This person will own the Meta ad account and be responsible for performance, but with a significantly expanded remit into creative strategy and measurement. Day to day, they will:
- Manage and optimise Meta ad campaigns across Facebook and Instagram, with full ownership of performance metrics (ROAS, CPA, scale targets)
- Work closely with the content and creative strategy team to conceptualise, brief and develop new ad creative
- Lead creative testing sprints — from concept through to launch, analysis and iteration • Analyse creative performance data to identify what’s working and feed structured learnings back to the creative team
- Develop and refine a repeatable creative testing framework that drives continuous improvement over time
- Support the testing and scaling of new advertising platforms by designing and running incrementality tests to determine whether new channels are delivering truly incremental revenue
- Stay across emerging trends in direct response creative, ad formats, attribution methodologies and platform updates
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Meta media buyer for e-commerce brands, with demonstrable results at scale (we'll ask for portfolio!!)
- Strong understanding of creative strategy — not just what performs, but why it performs and how to develop more of it
- Experience running structured creative tests (format, hook, angle, CTA variations etc.)
- Ability to analyse both media and creative data and translate findings into actionable next steps
- Experience with (or strong understanding of) attribution and incrementality testing tools and methodologies — able to move beyond last-click attribution and confidently evaluate the true contribution of new channels
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with videographers, designers and content creators
- Strong communicator who can articulate creative direction clearly and concisely
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Ideal Background
- Experience in DTC / e-commerce media buying on Meta with budgets at scale. Someone who has already started leaning into creative strategy alongside their media buying work and is looking for a role where that dual skill set is the core expectation, not a nice-to-have. Bonus points for hands-on experience with incrementality testing, media mix modelling or third-party attribution platforms (e.g. Northbeam, Triple Whale, Rockerbox) that would enable confident expansion onto new channels.
