Your Role

This is an opportunity for an early career or entry level mechatronics engineer to play a key role in both the development of Aperia’s next generation products and the maturation of our existing products to perform at even larger scale.  You will work in a high-communication environment as part of a team of empowered engineers who have passion for the products they work on and care about their end users. Your Responsibilities

  • Play a central role in the design, build and programming of a large set of programmable robotic test fixtures that exercise Aperia’s tire inflators across a range of pressure and vehicle drive profiles with ongoing cloud test data warehousing and analysis.
  • Work with a cross functional team to use these test fixtures to discover and root cause failure modes in current and future products. 
  • Help analyze and optimize test programs to achieve results.
  • Over time this role is expected to migrate to other automated test fixtures and aspects of product design and development.
  • Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA activity. 

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in related engineering field.
  • 2 years experience in hands on design and build and programming of mechatronic or robotic systems, motor control, sensors.
  • Working knowledge of some combination of embedded C, Node-RED, LabVIEW.
  • Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with data analysis with Python.
  • AWS or other cloud software development background is a plus.
  • Hands on in the lab, comfortable/capable with wide range of electrical and mechanical test equipment, background in electronics troubleshooting.
  • Experience with formal product development and release to volume manufacturing over the full product lifecycle is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, independent, curious and driven to learn and improve.
  • Strong communication skills are critical. 

 

Pay Range: $80,000 - $120,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.

**Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and long-term disability insurance.
