Job Purpose

The Mechanical Technician overlooks and supervises all tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operation of all mechanical systems (plumbing works) for the regional airport of Santorini.

Requirements

• Acts as a first point of contact for all technical issues (plumbing works)
• Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems as well as other related equipment within the airport facilities
• Provides first level technical assistance against any failure encountered while system is in operation
• Liaises with the Airport’s Engineer for any scheduled maintenance activity or any ad-hoc intervention
• Inspects and diagnoses plumbing problems, determining the most appropriate course of action to address issues efficiently and effectively
• Implements the appropriate safety measures while performing plumbing works to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to property
• Advices and assists design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce operational costs
• Provides input for CMMS data assignments
• Adheres to company procedures and quality policies to ensure high systems reliability
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

Do you fulfill the required skills?

• Degree from a Technical Educational Institute or from a Technical School on a relevant field
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in leading mechanical repairs and construction activities preferable in large scale installations
• Computer literate
• Fluency in Greek (οral & written)
• Basic knowledge of the English language (οral & written)
