Scope:
We are looking for a Mechanical Team Lead who combines strong hands-on mechanical engineering expertise with leadership and people-management capabilities.
The role includes full responsibility for the mechanical domain, both from a technical and managerial perspective, throughout the entire product lifecycle — from concept and detailed design through production, assembly, and delivery.
You will oversee all mechanical aspects of the product while working closely with hardware, production, operations, and product teams.
In addition, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of mechanical engineers, prioritizing tasks, ensuring design quality, and meeting project milestones.
The Team Lead will lead complex mechanical designs, including:
Design from scratch alongside retrofitting and improving existing designs
Complex thermal management
Withstanding dynamic profiles (mainly vehicle-related)
Protection against EMI/EMC
Design for sealing
Professional leadership and mentoring of the mechanical team
Task planning, prioritization, and workload management
Improving design methodologies, processes, and best practices
Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
Requirements:
At least 8 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, with proven experience leading mechanical teams.
Proven experience as team management of at least 4 mechanical engineers
Experience in Certification IP 66 67
Proven experience in NPI (new product introduction)
Quality assurance procedure and process-oriented approach
Proven experience with SolidWorks
Expert-level knowledge of SolidWorks Simulation
Expert-level knowledge of mechanical drawings and tolerances
Expert-level knowledge of production technologies such as CNC machining, molding, injection, etc.
B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to work independently while leading others
Ability to remain agile in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
