About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer Manager to join our dynamic team in the food service industry. As a Mechanical Engineer manager, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems that enhance the efficiency, safety, and functionality of our HDRs and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Additionally, experience in packaging design for food service products is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include:

• Product Design and Development:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop mechanical components and systems for food service equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance testing to validate design concepts and optimize product performance.
• Prototyping and Testing:
  • Create prototypes of mechanical components and systems to assess functionality and performance.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to identify and address any issues related to product design, ensuring reliability and safety
• Packaging Design:
  • Utilize packaging engineering principles to design and optimize packaging solutions for food service products, considering factors such as protection, transportation, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure packaging materials meet quality and safety standards.
• Cost Optimization:
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising product quality or performance.
  • Evaluate and select materials, components, and manufacturing processes to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of reliability and safety in both mechanical components and packaging.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues and continuously improve product quality.
• Project Management:
  • Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and industrial designers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components and packaging.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards relevant to food service equipment and packaging.

The experience you have

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 5-10 years experience
• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the food service or related industry.
• Experience in packaging design for food service products.
• Proficient in CAD software for 3D modeling and simulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for food service equipment and packaging.

Base Salary Range: $136,500
