Mechanical Engineer (Designer - HVAC) | Permanent WFH

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer/Designer with around 20 years of expertise in HVAC design for commercial buildings. The ideal candidate has a solid background working in an MEP engineering office, collaborating closely with architectural clients, and delivering high-quality, efficient mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial building projects.
• Apply deep knowledge of hydronic systems, including chilled water, hot water, and steam.
• Integrate building automation systems to ensure energy efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project goals.
• Review and validate mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Support projects from conceptual design through construction administration.

Requirements

• Registered Mechanical Engineer
• At least 20 years of HVAC design experience, preferably in an MEP engineering firm.
• Strong expertise in hydronic systems (chilled water, hot water, steam).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with building automation systems.
• Commercial building project experience required; healthcare/hospital project experience is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Amenable to work remotely during U.S. business working hours.

• Device: Personal computer with Intel Core i5 or higher, or AMD Ryzen 5 or higher
• Memory & Storage: At least 16 GB RAM and 100 GB of free disk space
• Internet: Wired connection with a minimum 50 Mbps download speed, plus a backup connection (e.g., mobile hotspot or prepaid Wi-Fi)
• Work Environment: Quiet, well-lit space with minimal background noise
