Mechanical Design Engineer (mechanical engineering exp. req.) Description
Our client, an international industrial manufacturer, is looking to expand their Engineering Team in Lenoir County, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing hydraulic systems. Their solutions help keep their clients’ equipment moving and with customers spanning from aerospace to automotive and agriculture to wind turbines, you can feel secure making this transition since their business is not tied to only one industry (and therefore, potential industry economic shifts). Additionally, this role allows you to partner with customers to help customize their applications making this a perfect match for someone who covets working for a company that has less of that “off the shelf” product and more of that custom engineered solution. Mechanical Design Engineer (mechanical engineering exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Design hydraulic solutions that reduce friction and allow machines to run effectively
• Work with customers and modify applications based on their design needs
• Analyze electrical and mechanical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Collaborate to ensure effective installation and ongoing operation
• Work with maintenance technicians, machine operators, & assembly teams
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of systems and their components
• Offer technical support and expertise to other departments as needed
• Maintain documentation for all designs, modifications, and repairs
• Pursue ongoing education and training while staying abreast of industry trends
• Travel domestically to client sites quarterly with international travel once a year
Mechanical Design Engineer (mechanical engineering exp. req.) Qualifications
• 3 years of mechanical engineering experience required
• Experience designing hydraulic systems required
• Domestic travel typically 3-4 times per year required
