About the Role

As a member of the Product Marketing team, you will have an integral role in both crafting and executing go-to-market strategy across Verkada’s marketing and sales efforts.

You will join the Product Marketing team as a high-impact contributor, and will gain exposure to a wide variety of the initiatives, products, and customer insights that drive Verkada’s marketing and sales motion. As an intern on the team, you will help steer cross-functional initiatives and projects from ideation to insights, content development, and execution across the GTM lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Develop product and program positioning and competitively differentiated messaging based on user research, market insights, and product knowledge.
Gather customer feedback and dig into industry trends, customer use cases, and technology challenges to understand customer needs and challenges.
Work closely with Brand, Creative and Demand Generation teams to increase market presence and drive pipeline through key outbound activities (digital and live events, web and doc content, sales assets, emails, etc).
Partner with Channel and Sales Enablement teams to effectively position products and programs to help drive market awareness and target outcomes.
Bring new collateral to market by taking the lead on product and program launches - planning, creating/managing deliverables and timelines in order to maximize impact.
Become a product subject matter expert, evangelist and cross-functional leader who unites Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive business results.

What You Bring

Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program graduating in 2027.
Ability to work at Verkada HQ in San Mateo, CA for Summer 2026.
Strong ability to write for various audiences, including technical content.
Experience working cross-functionally with teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, Creative, and Marketing.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into data and technical details.
High-impact self-starter: you take initiative to move projects forward and can operate well with little guidance. You’re excited by the possibility of leading cross-functional workstreams and generating buy-in among senior leadership.
Raw smarts: we are looking for people who can look at complex problems and solve them start to finish.
Communication and stakeholder management: you'll need to be able to connect with sales reps and hardware engineers alike to figure out how we build the right processes and workflows to drive efficiency while also giving us the data to measure how we're doing. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
3+ years of professional experience, ideally in consulting, marketing, corporate strategy, or a startup.
Strong ability to write for various audiences, including technical content.
Previous Product Marketing, Product, or Strategy experience is a plus.

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting base pay may be above or below this range. Base pay is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
