Job Description – Maximo Template Development Support (Mechanical / Instrumentation / Electrical)
Work Location: Mubarraz Offshore Site
Duration: 3 Months
Mobilization Date: At the earliest (preferably before 22 December 2025)
Positions Required: 3 Personnel (1 Mechanical, 1 Instrumentation, 1 Electrical)
1. Role Overview
The Client requires the mobilization of three technically qualified personnel to support the offshore team at the Mubarraz facility in the preparation, development, and finalization of Maximo templates for maintenance operations. The selected candidates will work alongside the Client’s offshore maintenance and planning teams to ensure accurate data structuring, validation, and loading in accordance with the Client’s asset and operational requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties
Collaborate with the Client’s offshore maintenance and planning teams in the development, organization, and finalization of Maximo templates for Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Electrical disciplines.
Conduct detailed data collection, cleansing, classification, and verification to ensure accuracy and completeness of all maintenance-related information.
Support the development of asset registers, BOMs, preventive maintenance routines, job plans, failure codes, and other Maximo master data.
Ensure all data aligns with the Client’s engineering standards, maintenance policies, and operational procedures.
Validate Maximo templates for compliance with IBM Maximo EAM configuration and import requirements.
Work closely with offshore supervisors and discipline leads to incorporate operational feedback into data templates.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of template development progress, revisions, data sources, and approvals.
Provide technical input related to maintenance tasks, equipment hierarchy, and discipline-specific asset attributes.
Secondary Duties
Perform peer reviews and quality checks on Maximo templates before data loading.
Troubleshoot template formatting issues and data inconsistencies during the loading cycle.
Coordinate with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure data accuracy and operational usability.
Contribute to enhancements in asset information management and data governance processes.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
Technical Background
Each role requires discipline-specific expertise:
Mechanical Technician/Engineer – Rotating/static equipment, valves, pumps, compressors, piping, etc.
Instrumentation Technician/Engineer – Instrument loops, field instruments, analyzers, control systems.
Electrical Technician/Engineer – Power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, motors, transformers, etc.
Experience Requirements
Mandatory:
Strong maintenance background in the oil and gas industry (offshore experience preferred).
Proven expertise in Maximo template preparation, data population, and data loading workflows.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, macros preferred).
Knowledge of maintenance strategies (PM, CM, RCM), asset hierarchy standards, and equipment documentation.
Preferred:
Experience in Maximo implementation or data migration projects.
Previous experience working in UAE offshore environments or with similar Client operations.
4. Competencies & Skills
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to work offshore under operational constraints and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
Understanding of technical documentation such as P&IDs, datasheets, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
5. Certifications / Compliance Requirements
All personnel must be fully compliant for offshore deployment:
Valid offshore medical certificate.
Mandatory offshore safety training (BOSIET/FOET or equivalent).
Completion of CISPA security clearance (LOA to be provided by the Client, if applicable).
Any client-specific inductions or safety orientations prior to mobilization.
6. Working Conditions
Work will be carried out at Mubarraz Offshore Site under the Client’s operational guidelines.
Accommodation, meals, and helicopter transportation will be provided by the Client.
Standard offshore working hours and rotation as per site policy.
Access to required systems, documentation, and tools will be arranged by the Client.
