Math Subject Matter Expert (SME/Contractor Position)

EdClub, Inc. is an Education Technology company that provides high-quality online content to individuals and schools around the world. We are in search of a current or former math educator to act as a lower elementary-level math subject matter expert (SME). As an SME, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating curriculum materials, creating lesson outlines, and ensuring the development of high-quality educational resources that align with industry best practices and common core math standards. This position also requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on existing math curriculum materials
  • Detailing the essential ideas that should be communicated in each lesson across multiple grade levels (K-2)
  • Creating lesson materials including vocabulary, warm-up, direct instruction, example problem sets, word problems, check for understanding, and standards alignment
  • Helping our script writers by providing ways to talk about these topics at the appropriate level
  • Working closely with our team to create engaging games and online experiences to reinforce math content
  • Participating in meetings and discussions with the curriculum development team to provide input and insights on age-appropriate math education
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with the project manager and other team members
