As our Materials Manager, you'll be the linchpin in the development, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring every piece of equipment and material arrives on time and in perfect condition. You'll manage the expediting, receipting, storage, and distribution of materials, working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs representatives.
Your role will also involve coordinating with Project Engineers to provide timely updates on delivery schedules and ensuring all materials are preserved correctly before issuance. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing an inventory management system and overseeing procurement of spare parts and specialty tooling.
In this role, you'll be part of a whānau that takes immense pride in delivering high-quality projects. You'll be a self-starter, highly motivated, and outcome-driven, ensuring everything is delivered on time and within budget. Communication is key, and you'll excel in connecting the dots and providing clear, concise updates under pressure. We'll be honest, given the nature of the projects there are some early starts (6am) but generally the team kicks off the mahi from around 7am, but there's some flex there depending on how the project's tracking.
