Marketplace Operations Associate

The Marketplace Operations Associate will elevate the quality and performance of our property listings across short-term rental platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com. This role is vital to ensuring our online presence is polished, consistent, and effective in driving bookings and guest satisfaction.

You’ll take ownership of listings across multiple marketplaces, maintain high standards of accuracy and appeal, and work closely with teams across the business to streamline operations and solve problems. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, has a sharp analytical mind, and takes pride in delivering exceptional results.

What You'll Be Doing

• Listing Management: Own the setup, updating, and upkeep of property listings across several booking platform making sure every detail is spot-on and visually compelling.
• Quality Control: Perform thorough audits of listings to ensure they meet our standards for accuracy, brand alignment, and competitiveness.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment of priorities relating to listing and platform performance.
• Data-Driven Improvements: Use Google Sheets to review performance data and identify trends or issues turning insights into actions that enhance visibility and conversion.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot technical or operational issues related to third-party platforms and implement process improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
• Process Improvement: Help refine internal workflows, contribute to key team goals, and maintain delivery timelines across your tasks.

Requirements

• Relevant Experience: Ideally you will have experience in, platform support, or listings-focused role, in a tech-enabled or short-term rental environment.
• Analytical Mindset: Confident using spreadsheets to spot patterns and make data-backed decisions that improve listing performance.
• Precision and Accuracy: An eye for detail, you identify inconsistencies before anyone else does.
• Proactive Problem Solver: You don’t wait for problems to be fixed, you figure out how to fix them.
• Organised and Reliable: Skilled at juggling priorities, managing your time well, and consistently meeting deadlines.
• Great Communicator: Whether it’s via Slack, email, or meetings, you’re clear, professional, and easy to work with.

Salary Banding: R14,000 - R18,000 per month (DOE)
