Role Overview
IMI’s Climate Control sector is looking for a Marketing Specialist to support our businesses in Denmark & Norway. This role involves developing and executing localized marketing plans to drive business growth, utilizing a mix of online and offline tactics such as content adaptation, website management, social media, paid advertising, PR, trade marketing, and e-shop management.
The role reports to the Global Marketing Activation Manager, with a dotted line to the Heads of Sales for the Denmark & Norway.
IMI’s Climate Control sector is dedicated to working with its customers to deliver indoor climate solutions. Together, we focus on maximising energy efficiency and control for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Our products and system knowledge can be applied to heating, cooling, and domestic hot water applications.
Work Environment: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence three days per week either at our Ballerup, Denmark location or at our Ski, Norway location. Quarterly travel to the location where you are not based is required, with travel expenses covered.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Responsibilities
Own the country marketing plan: development, execution, progress follow‑up, and reporting.
Manage and monitor the marketing budget, ensuring accurate tracking and clear reporting on impact versus spend.
Organise customer‑facing activities, including events, trainings, webinars, and local exhibitions.
Lead local brand‑building initiatives and ensure consistent brand activation across all channels.
Support the local sales team by driving lead generation initiatives and delivering customer education activities.
Digital Marketing Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute website updates and local content changes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with global guidelines across markets.
Oversee local social media channels, keeping them active with relevant content and managing day‑to‑day community engagement.
Work with the digital team to implement paid placements on social platforms (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, etc.) and analyse their performance.
Collaborate on SEO–SEA synergies to maximise visibility and improve overall search performance.
Track and analyse KPIs across the full digital funnel, including campaign activation, lead conversion, engagement rates, organic traffic trends, and keyword performance.
Marketing Automation Responsibilities
Build and maintain automated email marketing workflows to enhance customer experience and support the full lead‑management lifecycle.
Implement marketing automation programmes, such as nurture journeys, triggered emails, and follow‑up workflows, aligned with campaign objectives and market requirements.
Manage email lists, audience segmentation, and lead‑scoring models to deliver targeted, relevant communication.
Implement localised marketing automation journeys in Pardot (Salesforce Account Engagement); manage the preparation and distribution of quarterly customer newsletters and track key performance indicators.
Prepare regular marketing automation reports, covering deliverability, engagement, conversions, and journey performance, and integrate these into the broader digital/marketing reporting framework.
Trade Marketing & Sales Enablement
Lead wholesaler communication and manage key partner marketing initiatives.
Oversee trade media activities, ensuring strong industry visibility and brand presence.
Develop joint marketing initiatives with key customers, strengthening commercial relationships.
Summarise and analyse wholesaler campaign performance, providing insights to marketing and sales teams.
Create and maintain local trade marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, point‑of‑sale assets, and sell‑in presentations.
Provide localised content for product launches, including translation, proofreading, and adaptation of campaign materials and professional articles.
Develop and optimise eCommerce marketing strategies with wholesaler e‑shops, ensuring visibility, promotional planning, and effective brand representation.
Critical Competencies for Success
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years in digital marketing a/o communications, within an international company.
Strong consultative marketing approach to collaborate effectively with sales teams and channel partners (wholesalers).
Proven experience in trade marketing and eCommerce.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in Danish or Norwegian (native) with a strong command of English (B2 level or higher).
Experience with Pardot and Salesforce is highly preferred.
Willingness to travel to sales sites for customer visits and events as needed.
