Marketing - Senior Leader

TLDR

Lead marketing initiatives and develop creative campaigns for diverse regional music markets, partnering with internal teams and industry professionals for success.

As Marketing Leader, you must build a smart, forward thinking marketing team in India & should be able to craft very complex, long-running, innovative, multi territory creative campaigns.

This role will be responsible for leading music marketing for Tamil, Malayalam & Telegu music markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for artists, albums, and label initiatives.
  • Collaborate with artists, management, and internal teams to understand project goals and objectives.
  • Plan and execute campaigns across digital, social media, email, and traditional channels.
  • Manage marketing budgets, track expenses, and ensure ROI.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and industry developments to inform marketing decisions.
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance and support.
  • Foster relationships with promoters, publicists, and other industry professionals.
  • Develop and maintain strong connections with streaming platforms, social media, and media outlets.
  • Oversee creation of marketing materials (videos, images, press releases).
  • Monitor and report campaign results, adjusting strategies accordingly.

What will success look like:

  • Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counselling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Skills Required:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience in the music industry (record label, artist management, or related field).
  • Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Strong network within the music industry.
  • Familiarity with music industry analytics tools (e.g., SoundScan, Chartmetric)
  • Verbal and Written communication in English, Tamil, Malayalam and Telegu preferred.
