The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Marketing Operations Executive (Campaign Operations) to join the Marketing Operations team at Clarion Events. You will be working across 4 different divisions; Phacilitate, Insurtech Connect, Energy Council and World Refining Association, and will enhance marketing campaigns through automation, customer segmentation, and optimising internal processes.

Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Head of Marketing Operations the successful candidate will be proactive in using Pardot, Treasure Data and Salesforce, to be the driving force behind data connectivity throughout the customer journey, generating insights that enhance our digital and live event offerings.

You will work on some of the UK’s most exciting brands including Advanced Therapies Week, ITC Europe, World Energy Capital Assembly and European Refining Technology Conference - and many more to monitor and improve customer engagement throughout their campaigns.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities—capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be insight-driven, with a solid understanding of data governance best practices and marketing automation technology to maximize the impact of our campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build marketing data reports using Salesforce Einstein and GA4, sharing regular KPI reports with stakeholders and offering actionable insights.
  • Build Power BI dashboards to monitor campaign success and key customer groups while driving self-service initiatives across campaign teams.
  • Troubleshoot negative trends and anomalies in marketing effectiveness, measured by key reach and engagement metrics.
  • Drive web optimisation by analysing customer behaviour and trends via Clarity.
  • Build targeted prospect lists for marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with campaign teams to maintain data quality across events (ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency) while documenting processes and streamlining internal workflows.
  • Implement data privacy policies across marketing initiatives to reduce operational risk and ensure up-to-date compliance with the latest guidance.
  • Liaise with the Data and IT teams to integrate data across various platforms, ensuring optimal data utilisation for campaigns and reporting.
  • Work closely with Group Marketing Operations to align on best practices, new technologies, and cross-sector benchmarking.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Experience with analytics and insight platforms (GA4, Hotjar, Clarity preferred).
  • Ability to build dashboards and work with business intelligence tools (Power BI a plus).
  • Experience in database management, audience segmentation, and data enrichment.
  • Understanding of key metrics: conversion rates, database growth, engagement, lead nurture, MQL/SQL.
  • Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, PECR).
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and data integrity.
  • Strong logic and analytical thinking, excited about uncovering data insights.
  • Passion for identifying trends and opportunities that drive business success.
  • Confident communicator, able to translate complex data into actionable insights for different stakeholders.
