As a Public Policy Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in public policy, government affairs, and strategic communications at a high-growth technology company that is driving the future of private capital. During this 10-week internship, we are looking for proactive candidates who are eager to learn how policy intersects with innovation, entrepreneurship, and private capital to support our efforts to lower barriers, expand access, and strengthen private capital. During this 10-week internship, you will help the policy team stay organized, informed, and responsive in a fast-moving regulatory environment. In this role, you will:
As a Public Policy Intern, you’ll support Carta’s Policy team and gain exposure to how a fast-growing technology company engages with policymakers, ecosystem partners, and industry stakeholders to drive policy outcomes to expand access to private capital and bolster ownership opportunities. You will also collaborate across our Marketing team and business units to learn how policy can drive value for our customers: venture capital, private equity, private credit, and the companies and investors they serve.
Program At-a-Glance
Location: Washington, DC (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mandatory in-office)

Commitment: 40 hours per week
