What is the role:

We are seeking a thorough and analytical Data Quality Specialist to join the Marketecture team. This role will focus on improving the completeness, accuracy, and usability of our marketing database, with particular attention to critical lead attributes. You will work closely with the Marketing Architecture lead to audit, optimize, and operationalize data processes that support marketing effectiveness, sales alignment, and overall lead marketability.

This person complements a strategic and technical leader by handling operational performance and data integrity, allowing leadership to focus on high-level strategy, architecture, and scoring models. They will be a trusted partner for maintaining clean, actionable data that drives marketing efficiency and decision-making.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct in-depth audits of the Marketo database to identify gaps in data completeness, quality, and alignment with database health metrics
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Analytics team, lead the design and development of the Marketing Database Health dashboard to include data quality trends, completeness, and improvements over time
  • Map data completeness and quality by source (forms, integrations, list imports, etc.) and build a roadmap for remediation
  • Ensure marketing database and lead data strategy align with Sales Ops and account-level data strategies
  • Implement a data cleanup and normalization schedule, including standardizing job titles, persona fields, and other key lead attributes
  • Maintain and improve lead deduplication processes
  • Support ad hoc data quality initiatives, including reviewing integrations, triggers, and lead flows
  • Document processes, maintain change logs, and support governance initiatives to ensure sustainable data operations
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead records in marketing automation systems and shared environments
  • Support compliance and audit requests by retrieving and analyzing lead acquisition and opt-in data
  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate communications related to lead database enhancements and projects 

 

What you bring along:

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing operations, database management, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with Marketo and Salesforce (reporting, workflows, lead scoring)
  • Experience with data standardization and validation practices and tools
  • Strong analytical skills to include interpreting data trends and identifying root causes
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, or BI tools (Tableau, Looker) 
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical outlook, and familiarity of working with large datasets
  • Experience with marketing automation systems (Marketo preferred) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to interpret dashboards and metrics, translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguous or evolving processes
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to lead projects while working closely with other team members 

Bonus Points:

  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Cursor etc.) and prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency with API integration, webhooks, and workflow automation tools.
  • Working knowledge automation tools (Zapier, Make.com, n8n).

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$81,900$129,500 CAD
