About the role
Do you love making complex ideas feel simple? Are you deeply passionate about segmented communication? Does playing word Tetris with copy give you life?
We are looking for a seasoned copywriter to join our creative team and help parents understand what Huckleberry does, how it works, and why it makes their lives easier. This role is focused on clarity, usefulness, and conversion. You will turn products and features into benefits parents can instantly grasp, leveraging brand trust to improve understanding, action, and confidence
The ideal candidate will write clear, concise copy for both existing and potential Huckleberry app users. This includes:
- Lifecycle marketing journeys (in-app and email)
- Core product messaging
- Landing pages and on-page modals
- App Store descriptions and updates
- Promotional copy
You will report to the creative copy lead and collaborate with the marketing team verticals, including brand, user acquisition, social, lifecycle, and product.
This is a fully remote, 20-hours-per-week (flexible hours), 12-month contract opportunity.
Areas of Responsibility
Create compelling, effective copy for marketing projects that aligns emotional resonance with relevant business goals
Produce a broad range of deliverables, including landing page content, scripts, emails, ads, in-app messaging, social copy, video scripts, and other formats as needed.
Collaborate with the marketing team to understand product messaging and brand values
Collaborate with the creative team to bring concepts to life
Interpret creative briefs to understand project requirements as the basis for your work
Support establishing documentation and organization of product marketing guidelines
Requirements
7+ years of marketing copywriting experience in a B2C environment
Range of writing: email, in-app messaging, paid ads, landing pages, visual copy, and other short-form content
Track record refining product core messaging alongside creative assets
Highly organized with complex messaging, audiences, and templates
Experience with conversion copywriting
Experience collaborating cross-functionally and delivering on briefs
True self-starter with the ability to adapt and pivot when needed
Nice to have
Experience with any of the following industries: child development, parenting, or teaching
Experience with brand copywriting
