The Mission of the Marketing & Communications Manager, LatAm

Accelerate Missions pipeline growth and brand leadership in Latin America by developing and executing localized marketing campaigns, strategic communications, and sales enablement that position ICEYE as the sovereign ISR partner of choice for Latin American defense decision-makers.

The Role

The ICEYE Data and Missions Marketing team is growing and looking for an experienced Missions Marketing Manager for Latin America to join as soon as possible.

In this role, you will lead and implement all marketing and communications plans and activities in Latin America for the Satellite Missions line of business. This includes:

  • Planning, developing, and executing high-impact marketing campaigns aligned with sales priorities and commercial objectives
  • Driving measurable ROI across multiple channels: PR, events, digital, social media, and thought leadership content
  • Managing PR activities and local PR agency relationships
  • Leading event management and execution for flagship trade shows, customer workshops, and engagement visits
  • Developing localized sales enablement materials, briefings, and tools
  • Building and executing trade and channel co-marketing initiatives with local partners and industry associations
  • Supporting engagement with national ministries of defence and relevant institutions such as NORDEFCO, NATO, and EU bodies
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance together with the central marketing function
  • Coordinating with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Events, Visual Design, and Sales to ensure alignment

Core Competencies:

Proactive, Results-Driven Marketing Execution
Strong ability to take initiative and independently drive marketing activities that deliver measurable ROI. Comfortable working across multiple channels and tactics, including PR, events, web, social media, and thought leadership content.

Defense and Security Sector Expertise
Understanding of defense and security policy, procurement processes, and government decision-making structures. Experience in marketing, PR, or public affairs engagement with national ministries of defence, NORDEFCO, NATO, or EU institutions is a strong advantage.

Trade and Channel Co-Marketing
Experience in partner and channel co-marketing within the Defense, Government, or B2B sector. Ability to develop joint marketing initiatives with local partners, integrators, or industry associations in Latin America.

Communications and PR Management
Skilled in managing media relations, press releases, and local PR agencies. Can craft messaging that builds brand credibility with defense and policy audiences.

Sales Enablement
Ability to develop and deliver localized collateral, briefings, and tools that support the sales team. Works closely with sales to understand account-specific needs.

Stakeholder Collaboration
Effective at working across functions and geographies. Coordinates with global marketing, regional sales leadership, corporate communications, and local subsidiaries.

Event and Campaign Management
Hands-on experience planning and executing trade shows, customer events, workshops, and digital campaigns. Can manage budgets, vendors, and logistics.

Latin America Market Knowledge
Understanding of the Latin American defense landscape, key players, cultural nuances, and media environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant marketing experience in a B2G environment
  • Experience with campaigns in the defense, government, or public sector
  • Track record of proactive, self-driven marketing execution with measurable impact
  • Experience in trade and channel co-marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  • Strong conceptual skills and attention to detail
  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, and Portuguese
  • Fluency in business English
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across teams
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, agile growth environment
  • Flexible, positive attitude with entrepreneurial hands-on drive

Nice to have:

  • Experience in marketing/PR/lobbying engagement with national MoDs, NORDEFCO, NATO, or EU institutions
