Marketing Communications Intern

Join us as a Marketing Communications Intern and gain hands-on experience in SEO writing, content creation, email marketing (EDM), and community engagement. You’ll contribute to driving brand visibility and traffic growth across digital platforms.

The Job:

1. Blog Content Development
• Assist in drafting and optimising blog articles based on SEO guidelines.
• Support with formatting and uploading content to content management systems (CMS).
2. SEO Content Writing & Optimisation
• Write keyword-informed on-page content to support website traffic goals.
• Apply SEO checklists and collaborate with the team for editing and finalisation.
3. Visual Asset Creation
• Generate simple visual assets or coordinate image sourcing to accompany blog and page content.
• Use Pixlr Group tools (e.g., Pixlr) for basic editing tasks.
4. Keyword Research
• Conduct guided research to identify relevant keywords for upcoming content.
• Compile keyword lists with search intent insights for writer/editor use.
5. Community & Social Engagement Support
• Participate in engagement efforts within online communities or comment threads to build awareness.
• Share and promote blog posts through relevant forums, newsletters, or social platforms as instructed.
6. Email Marketing (EDM)

Assist in the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns, including drafting content, formatting, and segmenting audiences.

Requirements

The Person:

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communication, PR, Journalism, or English Studies (or related field).
• Exceptional writing skills, with a keen eye for grammar, style, and SEO best practices.
• Good communication skills, comfortable working with a team and presenting ideas clearly.
• Eagerness to learn new tools and digital marketing strategies, with the ability to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with a passion for learning and contributing to projects.
• Familiarity with email marketing (EDM) tools is a plus.
