Marketing Co-Op Student

Marketing in 2026 is no longer about producing more content; it’s about building systems that scale it. Fidus Systems is looking for a Marketing Co-op Student to help design and structure the foundation behind our marketing engine. In an environment where AI can accelerate output, the real differentiator is how well content is framed, organized, and aligned to real engineering problems. In this role, you will work closely with marketing leadership and technical experts to define the frameworks, templates, and supporting research that power high-quality marketing and sales enablement content.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build structured frameworks and templates for marketing and sales collateral (e.g., case studies, solution briefs, capability overviews).
- Support sales alignment by organizing content around key offerings and positioning priorities.
- Collaborate with marketing leadership and technical experts to translate complex inputs into clear, structured formats.
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, content structuring, and repurposing while maintaining technical accuracy.
- Draft and edit supporting content, including blog posts, email campaigns, and LinkedIn posts.
- Support the creation of video content for LinkedIn and digital campaigns, including basic editing and formatting.
- Conduct market, competitor, and account research to support outbound campaigns and positioning.
- Assist with SEO, GEO, and AEO optimization, including keyword research and content structuring.
- Support website updates and content publishing using CMS tools.
- Track and report on content and campaign performance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (3rd year preferred).
- Previous co-op, internship, or academic project experience in marketing, content creation, or digital marketing is an asset.
- Interest in B2B marketing, engineering services, or high-tech industries (experience is not required, curiosity is).
- Strong written and visual communication skills, with the ability to structure and simplify complex or technical concepts.
- Interest in video content creation (e.g., short-form clips, webinar repurposing, LinkedIn video content).
- Ability to think in frameworks, templates, and repeatable processes, not just one-off content creation.
- Comfortable using AI tools to support research and content development and understand when human judgment is required.
- Basic understanding of SEO, GEO, or AEO principles and content marketing fundamentals.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable working with both marketing and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, Canva, or basic video editing tools is considered an asset.
Hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $23.00. The final rate within this range takes into account the variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, and with consideration to internal equity.
