Position Summary  

Orr Group is seeking a full-time Associate to provide essential support to our Growth team and our growth vision. The Associate, Growth will enhance team capacity and drive execution of key business development and marketing functions for the firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with senior leadership and relationship managers and to make a significant and direct impact on the firm’s revenue generation. In partnership with the other members of the Growth team, you will be responsible for the following activities:

Key Responsibilities 

Prospecting and Research

  • Drive business development strategy through the utilization of AI based research tools and data to identify target relationships and client opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Impact Group and members of the Executive Team to support outreach efforts with prospective clients. This includes building target prospect lists with AI tools based on certain criteria, drafting tailored outreach language, and supporting any follow-up needs.

Proposal and Marketing Collateral Creation

  • Become fully adept and knowledgeable of our AI / Slack proposal development platform.
  • Assist in the drafting of pre-proposal marketing materials and collateral to support early-stage conversations through our AI / Slack platform.
  • In coordination with the AI automations already built, execute formal new business proposals and manage the full proposal cycle in Slack, from first draft to approval and finalization.
  • Design accompanying marketing materials through Canva’s AI tools, such as one-pagers and presentation decks, as needed, to support the proposal negotiation process with prospective clients.

AI Platform

Our entire New Business process is housed in Slack and involves several AI automations. Core to the role is becoming familiar with and a power user of the automations; then, becoming an advisor on how to improve and make them more efficient.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update key business development and marketing collateral, including client case studies, logos, and other assets, to supplement and enhance the quality of new business proposals.
  • Provide critical capacity and support to the Growth team by offering comprehensive administrative assistance. This includes drafting meeting agendas, managing meetings and schedules, and tracking and reporting on progress to date. Additionally, oversee the creation and finalization of team deliverables.
  • Provide support for special projects and other assigned administrative and physical duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional experience preferred, ideally in a nonprofit, consulting, or philanthropic organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field)
  • Ability to form relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Experience in various AI tools and willing to learn how to use low-code development tools such as Zapier
  • Excellent research and computing skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit

Additional Information 
 
Location 

This position is based in New York City, and candidates must be near or based in the NYC metropolitan area. Our hybrid policy requires staff to spend at least 60% of their working time in the Orr Group office or at client sites. 

Salary Range 

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $65,000 with an annual bonus potential of up to $5,000.
