The Marketing AI and Automations Lead is a pivotal senior role that blends technical expertise with strategic vision, spearheading the transformation of marketing automation beyond traditional platform management into a cutting-edge, AI-driven, agentic operating model. Positioned at the dynamic crossroads of marketing strategy, technology, and revenue operations, this leader shapes and executes the automation architecture, systems integration, and AI agent frameworks that empower the marketing team to operate efficiently and effectively at scale. This role demands a hands-on approach with enterprise marketing automation platforms such as Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or their equivalents, owning the design, development, and maintenance of programs, data frameworks, and workflows that fuel daily marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing target segment configurations, overseeing data integrity
- Partnering with the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to develop and launch engaging email sequences, nurture campaigns, and triggered communications.
- Working closely with Revenue Operations and the Marketing Technology team, the Marketing AI and Automations Lead turns complex marketing challenges into effective, scalable technical solutions.
- Combining expert platform knowledge with cutting-edge strategic vision, this role stands as the organization's trusted authority on marketing automation and AI innovation.
Requirements
What you will bring to be successful in this role
- Deep, hands-on expertise with one or more enterprise marketing automation platforms, specifically Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or Marketo, including advanced programme architecture, workflow configuration, API integrations, and system administration, with the practical ability to build, test, and deploy complex automation independently.
- Demonstrable understanding of AI tools, large language model applications, and emerging agentic frameworks within a marketing context, with the practical ability to contribute to the design and implementation of AI-driven marketing workflows.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM integration, data management, lead management processes, and target segment configuration, with practical experience managing audience data across marketing platforms and the ability to engage RevOps and MarTech stakeholders as a credible and informed technical partner.
- Analytically rigorous, with the capability to monitor system and programme performance, interpret data quality issues, and drive evidence-based improvements across automation infrastructure.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and strong quality assurance discipline, able to manage complex technical workstreams across multiple stakeholder groups without compromising accuracy or delivery timelines.
- Intellectually curious and self-directed, with the ability to stay current with developments in marketing technology, AI, and automation, translate emerging capability into practical marketing applications, and build internal knowledge and confidence across the marketing team.
