Resource Innovations is seeking a Market Engagement Consultant to join our growing team in the Pacific Northwest. In this position with Resource Innovations, you will work with utility clients and external partners to implement utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs in the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will reside in Yakima or Walla Walla, Washington. Some same day and overnight travel are anticipated for in person meetings and engagements with clients and partners.  

The ideal candidate possesses the right mix of leadership, sales skills, technical ability, program expertise, and interpersonal skills to succeed in this position. In this role, you will provide support for an existing outreach team supporting energy efficiency programs for residential customers to promote the program, engage trade allies, drive participation, and maximize energy savings to achieve program goals. In addition to providing guidance and support to the outreach team, this role will look for opportunities to balance workload and identify underrepresented areas or customer segments.

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Provide Non-English speaking and Tribal outreach to customers and trade allies to improve capacity for vendors who can do business with customers in Spanish.  
  • Perform direct customer outreach in the targeted communities, potential joint sales call with Spanish language materials, to increase customer satisfaction and customer perception of Pacific Power among the Hispanic Community.  
  • Provides support to the outreach team through effective communication of vision and active engagement while comparing progress towards goals and taking appropriate action to improve when necessary. 
  • Contributes to the design and implementation of outreach strategies and activities that are intended to help obtain program goals and targets.
  • Executes the outreach plan and establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) addressing outreach, project generation, and completed project targets.
  • Provides training, education, and technical assistance to HVAC, plumbing, retail and other trade allies and encourages participation in utility energy efficiency incentive programs.   
  • Communicates key objectives, strategies, and priorities to a variety of stakeholders and contributors (program management, software, outreach, data analysis, customer service, and partner teams).  
  • Develops, manages, and fosters partnerships and relationships with local organizations, associations, subcontractors, community groups, and other industry affiliates/stakeholders that serve our key client populations.   
  • Provides excellent customer service to clients, end-use utility customers, vendors, delivery team members, and industry partners.  
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Walla Walla or Yakima Washington within 30 days of acceptance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience with energy-efficiency, utility consulting or a related field required.  
  • Excellent project management, organizational, planning, budgeting, and people-management skills.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and self-direct your work.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.  
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools.   
  • Strong customer relationship, networking, and sales skills.  
  • A strong understanding of energy efficiency programs and/or utility/skilled trade industry.  
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, training, and analytical skills.  
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus:  
  • Support strategic planning.  
  • Preference given to bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $70,000-80,000.  In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location. 

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits. 

Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check. If applicable to the position, a pre-employment drug screen may also be required.
