We are looking for a Marine Engineering Cadet or Trainee Engineer to join our team at DOF. This pivotal role that will support the maintenance and operations of our advanced offshore vessel operations within the Oil and gas industry. This is an opportunity to join our Marine team and navigate our world class fleet of vessels.

Our Engineering Cadets are DOF's future aspiring marine engineers. They will be provided with hands-on experience and essential skills. Your dedication, enthusiasm including your commitment to safety is an invaluable asset, in shaping the future of DOF’s Marine Engineering crew.

Requirements

• Available to commence as an Engineering Cadetship in early 2026.
• Hold a trade qualification recognised by AMC (Australian Maritime College); such as Marine Engine Driver 2 qualification.
• Currently enrolled in AMC and completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) or equivalent is ideal.
• Demonstrate some offshore experience is beneficial but not essential.
• The ability to obtain and hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• The ability to work with people from varied backgrounds.
• Compliance with all work, health and safety practices at all times.
• Demonstrate a flexible, adaptable and resilient approach to meet vessel and company demands.
• Identify yourself with our core values: Respect - Integrity - Teamwork - Excellence - And above all we are Safe.
• Able to relocate to complete educational course requirements as and when required.
