Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner with a strong background in machining and job shop environments. This individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing workflows to meet customer demand, maximize efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of job shop operations and has hands-on knowledge of machining processes and shop floor constraints.
Responsibilities:
Develop, release, and manage work orders based on customer requirements, lead times, and capacity constraints.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and purchasing to ensure material and resource availability for scheduled jobs.
Translate engineering drawings and specifications into routings and manufacturing steps for machined components.
Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to address issues such as machine downtime, material delays, or labor shortages.
Coordinate with machinists and supervisors to prioritize jobs and resolve production bottlenecks.
Review customer orders and confirm delivery dates based on capacity and resource planning.
Maintain accurate production schedules and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
