Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Marietta, OH Job Type: Direct Hire Pay: Up to $85,000.00 (Depending on Experience) Overview The Manufacturing Engineer will be a critical team member bridging between the O&S Engineering and Production Departments. This individual is responsible for providing front line support to Production and Engineering in the areas of manufacturing, life cycle management, quality improvements, sustaining, and cost reduction. This role reports to the O&S Engineering Team Manager. Assignments can be broad in variety and scope. Responsibilities:
  • Function as the engineering representative to Production to support, solve and complete root cause analysis for design and quality issues.
  • Develops/defines tooling and fixtures for new products and processes and works with tooling vendors, as necessary.
  • May support sourcing and qualification of purchased parts/assemblies.
  • Maintains relevant product and process database.
  • Creates, updates, and reviews work instructions.
  • Supports Production operator training to complete and follow new and revised work instructions.
  • May create and/or update, assembly, and raw material drawings, as necessary.
  • Creates, reviews and manages Engineering Change Notification process.
  • Supports New Product Introduction programs and other strategic engineering initiatives.
  • Works in a multi-functional, team environment engaging daily with Production, Quality, O&S and R&D Engineering teams.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree
  • 2+ years of operations, engineering and/or manufacturing experience.
  • 3D SolidWorks experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical writing experience
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and detailed electrical schematics
  • Product Life Management system and Engineering Process experience a plus
  • Strong, proactive communication skills across departments and with all levels of leadership
  • Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment
