Manual Tester

Our partner is a Hungarian-owned neobank established with the goal of making entrepreneurs’ financial operations simpler, more transparent, and more cost-efficient. With a digital-first approach, they reduce financial administration, automate everyday banking processes, and support small and medium-sized businesses with modern, innovative tools, transparent pricing, and fast online administration.

We are looking for a Manual QA Tester whose primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of the company’s mobile and web-based applications by executing complex functional and regression tests, as well as identifying and documenting defects. In this role, you will work closely with development, backend, business, and UX teams.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, documenting, and executing test cases based on business requirements and specifications.
• Manual testing of mobile (iOS/Android) and frontend (web) applications.
• Manual testing of APIs and backend components, including validation of REST/GraphQL endpoints.
• Executing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Full support of the defect management process, including defect reporting, reproduction, and validation.
• Preparing test reports and status updates.
• Actively contributing to the improvement of testing processes and best practices.
• Close collaboration with product and development teams to clarify requirements.
• Providing professional support for test automation initiatives (implementation is not required).

Requirements

• At least 4–5 years of relevant experience in manual testing.
• Hands-on experience testing mobile (Android/iOS) and/or frontend (web) applications.
• Practical knowledge of API testing (e.g. Postman, Swagger).
• Understanding of backend processes and client–server architecture.
• Strong knowledge of testing life cycles and methodologies (ISTQB certification is an advantage).
• Experience with defect tracking and documentation tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail / Zephyr).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git is an advantage).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
