As a Manual QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our web applications. You will work closely with our development and product teams to identify, document, and track defects, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications.
- Perform thorough regression, functional, and integration testing to ensure the application operates as expected.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and functionalities, ensuring thorough test
coverage.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by test cases.
- Provide clear and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
- Validate and verify resolved defects and perform regression testing to ensure issues have been effectively fixed.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to provide feedback and insights on quality and
testing activities.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of testing documentation and knowledge base.
Requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role, with a focus on web applications.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with testing web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr Squad, or similar.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and provide
constructive feedback.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
Location : Hybrid London
Duration : 3 to 6 month contract ( Possibility of converting to a full time hire )
Salary Range : 35 K - 40 K GBP
Office Visit : 2-3 times a month
