  •     - Rigid Threading Machine
  •     - Pencil Grinders
  • Use measuring and layout tools such as tape measures and calipers to ensure work meets specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Mark materials for machining using layout devices such as tape measures, calipers, and marking equipment.
  • Cut, thread, and shape parts with precision, utilizing assigned machines to produce required components.
  • Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to ensure quality and tolerance requirements are consistently met.
  • Regularly inspect finished pieces using precision measuring tools to verify accuracy and conformance to blueprints.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and changing machining parts.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other associates, engineers, and supervisors to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize productivity.
  • Accurately document work performed, material use, and inspection results as required.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
  • Minimum [1] year experience operating manual machine shop equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with the following:
  •     - Drill Press
  •     - Manual Lathe
  •     - Band Saw
  •     - Rigid Threading Machine
  •     - Tape Measure (for layouts and checks)
  •     - Calipers (for precision measurements)
  •     - Pencil Grinders (for finishing and deburring)
  • Strong understanding of metalworking processes and machining characteristics of various materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings.
  • Proficient in understanding and using precise measurement instruments.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship and safety.
  • Physically able to handle machine operation demands, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and manual handling.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed.
  • Working Conditions
  • Industrial machine shop environment with typical exposure to noise, grease, metal shavings, and working machinery.
