EMEA, Connor Consulting is seeking a Managing Director, Software Advisory Services (EMEA) to lead regional expansion, drive strategic client acquisition, and scale long-term enterprise relationships across its Software Advisory Services portfolio.. As a Managing Director – Software Advisory Services (SAS) with Connor Consulting, you will serve as a senior regional leader responsible for the growth, performance, and strategic expansion of Connor Consulting’s Software Advisory Services across EMEA. This role combines practice leadership, business development, talent building, and strategic account management, while contributing to the firm’s enterprise-wide vision and long-term growth strategy.

 

You will play a critical role in expanding Connor Consulting’s presence in EMEA by leveraging our strong global brand, trusted client relationships, and deep expertise in software licensing, digital transformation advisory, vendor management, and compliance optimization. While the role has a strong market-facing and growth orientation, you will also work closely with global delivery teams to ensure high-quality execution and exceptional client outcomes.

 

 

Reporting & Collaboration



This role reports directly to the President of Connor Consulting and partners closely with executive leaders across the Software Advisory Services, Software License Compliance, and related advisory practices to expand Connor’s footprint and impact across EMEA.

 



Key Responsibilities



Practice & Market Leadership

  • Lead and grow Connor Consulting’s Software Advisory Services practice across EMEA, including software license compliance, vendor advisory, optimization, and related advisory offerings.
  • Define and execute the regional SAS strategy, aligned with Connor Consulting’s global vision and priorities.
  • Identify and develop new service offerings, solutions, and industry verticals aligned with client needs and market demand.



Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Drive business development activities including opportunity identification, relationship building, proposal development, and executive-level presentations.
  • Actively manage and grow strategic global and EMEA-based client accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CIOs, CFOs, CTOs, and Procurement leaders.
  • Meet and exceed defined revenue, pipeline, and relationship goals.



Talent & Organizational Development

  • Define the EMEA SAS organizational structure and recruit, hire, and develop high-performing consulting and advisory talent.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to regional teams.
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and client excellence.



Delivery Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee delivery of complex software advisory and compliance engagements, ensuring quality, consistency, and strong client experience.
  • Partner with global teams to execute engagements efficiently and effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of internal infrastructure, tools, and processes to support scalable growth.



Marketing & Thought Leadership

  • Partner with Marketing and Business Development to develop go-to-market materials, proposals, and client-facing content.
  • Contribute to Connor Consulting’s thought leadership through industry articles, blogs, and speaking engagements.
  • Increase the firm’s visibility across EMEA by participating in key conferences, forums, and industry events.



Strategic Contribution

  • Act as a key contributor to the firm’s global strategy, helping shape Connor Consulting’s future direction.
  • Support innovation through development of new advisory solutions, methodologies, and technology-enabled offerings.

 

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a senior leader with a strong background in software advisory, software licensing, compliance, and professional services, who thrives in a growth-oriented and entrepreneurial environment.



Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in software advisory, software licensing, compliance, or related professional services.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling consulting practices, driving revenue growth, and managing strategic client relationships.
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Excellent client management, executive presence, and business development capabilities.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in building new capabilities, infrastructure, and teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across client organizations and internal leadership.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Big 4, global consulting firms, or technology advisory environments preferred.
  • Prior exposure to software vendors, enterprise licensing models, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Relevant professional credentials (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFE, or equivalent) are a plus.

 

Additional Information

  • Travel expectation: 25%–50%, primarily across EMEA with some global travel.

This role requires flexibility, strong ownership mentality, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
