Who are we hiring?
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the sports retail warehouse. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage, fulfilment and distribution of all sports merchandise within Madison Square Garden. They will also monitor employee productivity, performance and adherence to company policies and standards.
What will you do?
- The Warehouse Manager oversees the proper receiving, storing and distributing of all sports retail merchandise throughout the Arena.
- Run daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports to ensure precision accuracy of all warehouse overhead
- Organize the staff and the workday’s activities based on incoming deliveries, open requisitions, priority projects and the timing of events.
- Distribute days’ work requisitions to the staff and monitor that the work is being completed on a timely basis.
- In collaboration with the Warehouse Director, implement performance and quality KPI’s to warehouse associates and team leads and track to ensure performance increases.
- Physically inspect and count all product coming in the building for accuracy and quality control.
- Match invoices to Purchase Orders and inform Retail Strategy Dept. of any shortages or overages, damages, price differentials and other receiving issues, which might need attention and action taken immediately.
- Input all receiving into the Eatec Inventory system. Ensure documentation matches and forward to Finance Dept. for payment.
- Maintain both physical and digital records appropriately.
- Physically check and verify all out going deliveries to all retail locations.
- Train and develop staff so they are well-versed and trained in all Warehouse Operations.
- Recommend and enforce corrective actions as necessary. Follow a progressive coaching and counseling structure by giving real-time feedback and allowing check-ins by staff to discuss performance.
- Oversees Scheduling, Time and Attendance and Payroll by actively utilizing company systems i.e. Workforce and SharePoint.
- Supervision of Warehouse employees.
- Ensure all company policies and standards are met.
What do you need to succeed?
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years management experience in retail operations, specifically within an arena or stadium environment.
- Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Advanced knowledge with merchandise operations and sales techniques is essential.
- Must have experience in producing and maintaining visual displays in a retail environment.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage assets.
- Experience resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be people oriented.
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service experience for guests.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary.
- Ability to present an uplifting personality while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and business ethics.

- Skilled at working collaboratively and in a team environment.
Special Requirements
- Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
- Must be comfortable with heights (working on high floors) and navigating steep steps and inclines.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand and move about the arena throughout the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
