Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting

TLDR

The Manager of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting will be responsible for supporting the preparation of US GAAP financials, with anticipated Form 10-K/10-Q in the future. The Manager will collaborate closely across internal departments within Aledade to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reporting of Aledade’s financial results. This should be aware of current activity of the FASB, SEC and other relevant authoritative bodies to support Aledade’s accounting policies and financial statement disclosures while researching US GAAP, assisting in the documentation and accounting treatment conclusions for technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, share-based compensation and other complex accounting topics and non-routine areas.  Coordination with various external consultants on a number of ongoing and future projects. We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or be based from Bethesda, MD office. Primary Duties:
  • Collaborate with Auditors to coordinate the quarterly reviews and the annual audit, and support reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and other operational leaders as needed
  • Perform technical accounting research, analysis, documentation, and enablement of significant or complex accounting matters
  • Support preparation of accounting entries for complex matters, including but not limited to revenue recognition, acquisition accounting and stock compensation expense
  • Ensure effective controls around the SEC reporting, internal reporting and technical accounting process, and assist in development of internal control framework across the business.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a key business partner to ensure that all transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 experience highly desirable) or a combination of public accounting and corporate technical accounting roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting standards.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in healthcare or technology industries is a plus but not required.
  • Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing work
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative skills and accounting research skills
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Workiva
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
