Manager, Talent Development

As a Manager, Talent Development, you would be required to work with the BOD team to help advance employees’ skills and knowledge. Your responsibilities will begin with identifying the competency and skill needs of the different teams and individuals and creating customized learning plans for each. You will also be designing the learning modules with the help of subject matter experts and ensuring organizational compliance with the training schedule. You will be the point of contact for advising the leadership for the learning requirements of the company. You will lead in differentiating BOD Consulting from its competitors through the competencies of its human resources.

In the future, the role will evolve into a team management role. Talent Success Managers will be reporting to you who will in turn track the development of different employee teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying the skilling and learning needs of the individual employee and the organization as a whole.

  • Ideating and designing learning strategies and programs.

  • Developing customized learning plans for each individual and team.

  • Creating training schedules to upgrade the skills of employees and teams in a time-sensitive manner.

  • Designing the most suited way to impart knowledge on a case-by-case basis - gamified courses, e-learning courses, workshops, on-the-job training, etc.

  • Identifying and onboarding trainers (internal and external) for the various learning programs.

  • Designing and implementing assessment frameworks for learning programs.

  • Ensuring compliance with the learning charter.

  • Effectively using a learning management system to manage and track the learning lifecycle.

  • Planning and managing the budget for this function.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and consultants as required.

  • Ability to work independently, non-hierarchical, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in managing a learning center for talent focussed companies.

  • Experience in using Learning Management Systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Worked with a professional services company.

  • Setting up a learning and development center from scratch.

  • Postgraduate degree in business, human resources or other related fields.
