About the Role

Fivetran’s Systems Engineering Team is focused on delivering technology that supports the company’s growth. As the Manager of Systems Engineering Support, your role will be to support and empower our internal functions. As this team is heavily focused on supporting data quality, system health, and the effective use of our internal systems, we are seeking a systems engineer who is enthusiastic about providing support.

For internal candidates, current EMEA or APAC employees will be considered in their current office, hybrid, or remote assignments.

What You’ll Do

Ensure that users and developers of our internal systems are well supported
Manage a team charged with a blend of internal user support, systems administration, systems reliability, and internal incident management responsibilities
Lead overall team growth and support planning
Hire, coach, and mentor talented team members
Optimize our support process to ensure we are aligned with the needs of the business
Closely align with other leaders in the organization and execute on OKRs (objectives and metrics) to measure the overall team’s success
Develop and execute on strategy for continuous improvement of our Support Team SLAs and data quality targets.
Manage the collaboration and handoff with other engineering teams

Skills We're Looking For

Maintaining and supporting high-quality internal systems and tools, such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, and data integration pipelines
Designing support processes, particularly for internal systems and users
Crafting and managing KPIs to drive success within the team
Demonstrated success leading internal systems teams
Strong sense of empathy for our customers - other Fivetranners!
5+ years of experience as an internal systems engineer, or the equivalent combination of engineering and system administration experience. Examples of systems you’ve built on or maintained may include:
- Salesforce (CPQ is a strong bonus!)
- Zendesk
- Netsuite
- Fivetran, Census, Celigo, or a similar data movement platform
- Custom applications
Technical skills that include some of the following:
- Salesforce Apex and Flow
- SQL
- Any general-purpose programming language
Experience with production support, such as data quality or incident management
Demonstrated success leading internal systems teams
A strong sense of excellence and a relentless drive to achieve great results
A strong ability to stay calm in a fast-paced, growing environment
Exceptional communication skills
