As Connor continues to expand its Software Publisher Services practice, we are seeking a Manager – Software Publisher Services to lead and oversee complex compliance engagements, particularly within Red Hat and enterprise software licensing environments.


Role Summary

Managers are responsible for executing and overseeing end-to-end software license compliance engagements, including license baselining, usage analysis, audit support, data analytics, and client collaboration. This role requires strong hands-on expertise, leadership across multiple concurrent projects, and the ability to translate complex licensing data into clear, defensible outcomes for clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee software license compliance engagements, including:
    • License entitlement reviews and baselining
    • Usage and deployment analysis
    • Audit response support and remediation planning
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during compliance reviews and audit-related engagements.
  • Analyze large data sets using Excel and SAM tools to identify compliance gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders across IT, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams to validate findings and align on outcomes.
  • Support Red Hat software license compliance audits and advisory engagements.
  • Review and interpret licensing agreements and publisher-specific licensing models.
  • Develop clear, concise client deliverables, including compliance reports, executive summaries, and recommendations.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance on analysis, licensing interpretation, and engagement delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of methodologies, templates, and internal best practices.

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in software license compliance, SAM, or software audit support.
  • Strong experience with Red Hat software licensing and compliance audits.
  • Proficiency with licensing models from major enterprise software vendors.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAM tools and inventory data sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-facing mindset.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CSAM, ITIL, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, or software publisher advisory environments is a plus.
