About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead and drive the growth of our edtech business focused on professional certification programs, online undergraduate/postgraduate degree courses, and upskilling solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large sales teams, particularly in admissions or consultative sales environments, and will be responsible for revenue growth, team productivity, and business profitability. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and an in-depth understanding of the online education space.

Requirements

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 40+ Admission Counselors (Team Leaders & Executives).
  • Set and track team targets, monitor performance metrics, and implement performance improvement strategies.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Own and execute the end-to-end sales process, from lead qualification to enrollment.
  • Implement effective sales techniques to improve conversion rates across various programs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the admission funnel through training, tools, and process enhancements.

P&L Ownership:

  • Manage and take accountability for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the sales/admissions vertical.
  • Monitor revenue targets, cost of acquisition, and other key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with finance and leadership teams for budgeting and forecasting.

Product & Market Understanding:

  • Work closely with product and academic teams to understand offerings like  certification programs, online UG/PG degrees, and professional courses.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor offerings, and student preferences.
  • Gather feedback from the ground and contribute to product and process improvements.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales strategies.
  • Provide regular performance updates, reports, and insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure CRM hygiene and compliance across the team.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role within the EdTech space.
  • Proven experience managing large sales/admissions teams (40+ members).
  • Strong understanding of P&L, revenue targets, and unit economics.
  • Experience with certification programs, online UG/PG degrees, or similar professional education products.
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong analytical and strategic approach.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and sales enablement platforms.
