The Role
The Manager of Sales Development is a key role on our team with responsibility for delivering strong team results while maintaining a motivating team culture. This people manager role requires a self-starting, proactive, results-oriented sales management professional who is passionate about developing early career sales talent.
The manager executes company and department strategies and upholds standards to ensure that sales goals are met or exceeded. At Outreach, SDRs are an entry point for talent and this leadership role will play a key part in new rep education and upward career growth in the company.
Location: This role is located in the Atlanta office on a hybrid model - 3 days in office.
Your Daily Adventures Will Include
Running the day-to-day activities of a Sales Development team and maintaining Outreach processes
Coaching a team of SDRs to optimum performance
Achieving team-based quotas Identifying, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring sales talent and continually “raising the bar” with each new hire
Co-designing and co-presenting training curriculum
Organizing and deploying team resources in accordance with department and company strategies
Maximizing workflow within the department
Mentoring your team members to create clear paths toward their own career goals
Identifying problems and proactively creating comprehensive plans of action to present to senior management
Collaborating with the Account Executive department to ensure a smooth hand-off of new opportunities, and reviewing the quality of sales opportunities on a regular basis
Creating sales development resources including, but not limited to, call scripts and prospecting emails to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of our messaging
Measuring and reporting against KPIs, as well as creating reports as needed or requested by senior management
Preparing for and contributing to status or ad hoc meetings
Delivering upon other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by senior management

2 years minimum of additional previous sales experience

Sales is what we do here - you have to have a strong passion for sales and sales processes
Familiarity with tools such as SalesForce, ZoomInfo, Gong, LinkedIn Navigator.
Expert level experience with Outreach (preferred)
You are open-minded, can learn quickly, and have the ability to think quickly on your feet
You have excellent team and cross-functional collaboration skills and an ability to influence

You have a proven record of developing early career sales talent
