Manager, Revenue Planning

Versant’s Digital Platforms and Ventures group is looking for a Manager, Revenue Planning. This role is an integral part of the Revenue Strategy & Operations team, responsible for partnering across the organization to drive visibility into revenue performance and growth opportunities across the digital portfolio. This position will develop and oversee best in class consolidations and reporting processes through strong collaboration across Finance, Pricing Strategy, Rev Ops, and Data & Analytics teams. The role provides the opportunity for extensive visibility with the DPV leadership team and requires the ability to effectively communicate with executive stakeholders to drive business strategies, and synthesize and communicate data into proactive insights that drive data informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand the digital platform ecosystem of products and services; define and analyze metrics that evaluate the trajectory and inform the success of direct-to-consumer revenue streams, technology services, payments services, and advertising and sponsorships
  • Lead revenue consolidations process across DPV portfolio including Budget, Forecast, and Long-Range Planning cycles
  • Prepare executive and board level presentations to DPV and Versant leadership
  • Partner with FP&A and operators to ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue and KPI performance against goals and historical trends, driving accountability and transparency of business health
  • Provide analytical support for business decisions, providing insights to support financial objectives, ensuring alignment and cohesive strategies that drive revenue and accelerate business growth
  • Provide mentorship for direct report(s), clearly defining goals and performance standards for team members and foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes value added work and delivering results
  • Provide various ad-hoc analyses including variance analysis, sensitivities, and other requests from senior management

  • Revenue performance reporting is accurate, trusted, easily accessible, and easy to understand
  • Risks and opportunities of revenue performance against plan are proactively identified and communicated
  • Strong cross-functional network and productive working relationships where stakeholders come to you to help solve business problems
  • 5+ years of progressive finance and analytics experience
  • Strong financial and analytical skills including ability to create complex financial models and efficiently communicate results
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, management of deadlines and ability to multitask
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Experience in the e-commerce, direct to consumer, or media entertainment industry preferred
  • A great storyteller and communicator that can build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and clearly distill the essence of technical work to audiences of all levels and across multiple functional areas

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Must be willing to work in Los Angeles, CA.  Travel may be required for this position for company or department meetings.
  • Travel:  Must be able to travel domestically for business meetings, trainings and team events as needed.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Compensation Range:  $105,000 - $115,000 Base + Bonus.
